EyeShield Terms of Use
By using EyeShield, you agree to these terms.
Wellness guidance only
EyeShield provides screen wellness reminders and insights. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a medical device. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for any questions about your vision, health, or medical conditions.
Permissions and background behavior
EyeShield relies on Android permissions that you choose to grant, such as camera, notifications, display over other apps, usage access, and battery optimization exemptions. These permissions are used only to deliver monitoring and wellness reminders as described in the app.
You can change or revoke permissions at any time in your Android system settings. Some features may not work correctly if required permissions are disabled.
Your responsibilities
You agree to use EyeShield safely and lawfully. Do not use the app in situations where notifications or on-screen overlays could distract you from tasks that require your full attention (for example, driving or operating machinery).
You are responsible for how you configure and use the app on your device, including any device-level accessibility or overlay settings that may affect how alerts appear.
Data and privacy
Your use of EyeShield is also governed by the EyeShield Privacy Policy, which describes what information the app handles and how it is used. By using the app, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
You can view the current Privacy Policy at EyeShield Privacy Policy.
Liability limits
EyeShield is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Vistalytix and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability; in such cases, parts of this section may not apply to you, but our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
App updates and changes to terms
We may update EyeShield and these Terms of Use from time to time, for example to improve functionality, fix issues, or comply with law and platform requirements. When terms change, they will be updated in the app and on this page.
Continued use of EyeShield after updated terms are made available means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you should stop using the app and uninstall it from your devices.
