KidSafeTube Account Deletion
Request deletion of KidSafeTube viewing data and your linked KidSafeNest parent account.
KidSafeTube is a Google TV companion for KidSafeNest. It does not create a separate parent account. You sign in with the same Google account used in KidSafeNest, and child profiles, approved videos, and watch limits are managed on the phone app.
Sign out on your TV
- Open KidSafeTube on your Android TV or Google TV device.
- Sign out from the app menu (this ends the TV session only).
Signing out removes the active TV session but does not delete cloud data linked to your KidSafeNest account.
Delete data by email request
To delete child profiles, usage data, approved videos, or your full parent account, email privacy@vistalytix.com with subject line KidSafeTube account deletion request.
Please include:
- The Google account email used to sign in to KidSafeNest and KidSafeTube
- Child profile name(s) to delete, if applicable
- Whether you want TV-only data cleared, specific profiles removed, or full parent account deletion
You can also remove individual child profiles directly in KidSafeNest under Manage Profiles.
What data is removed
When profiles or your parent account are deleted (via KidSafeNest or by email request):
- Firebase Authentication: your parent Google sign-in record for the KidSafeNest / KidSafeTube ecosystem (full account deletion).
- Child profiles: name, age group, avatar, and profile settings stored in Firebase.
- Approved videos: parent-approved YouTube video lists used by KidSafeTube.
- Watch limits & usage: daily video minutes, bedtime settings, and usage reports synced for KidSafeTube.
What data stays on your device unless you remove it
- KidSafeTube local app cache and sign-in session on the TV until you sign out or uninstall.
- Any KidSafeNest data still stored on your phone or tablet until you remove profiles there or clear app storage.
To remove local TV data, uninstall KidSafeTube from your Android TV / Google TV device, or clear the app’s storage in the device settings.
Additional retention notes
YouTube may retain streaming-related technical data under its own policies when videos are played. Anonymous Firebase diagnostics may be retained per Google’s policies. KidSafeTube does not show ads or sell personal data.
